Welcome to the website of Ebenezer Baptist Chapel, Bounds Cross, Biddenden. We are situated on the A274 half way between the villages of Biddenden and Headcorn, at the crossroads with the roads to and from the villages of Smarden and Frittenden. It’s a rural location within the Weald of Kent close to where these four parishes meet.

We are an Independent Baptist Church formed over 140 years ago, Reformed and Evangelical in doctrine. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and base our beliefs solely on what is revealed in its pages. We consider its truths still relevant to our modern world and urge people everywhere to repent of their sin and believe the Gospel. We preach that salvation is by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

All are warmly invited to come to the services held at our Chapel. Following the example of the first Christians we meet together to worship Almighty God on Sundays, the Lord’s Day, and at other times as advertised. Our worship aims to be reverent, with reading from the Bible, prayer, hymns, and Bible preaching and teaching. In addition we currently broadcast services via Zoom for those unable to meet in person.

We hold our free Sunday School from 10:00am – 10:45am each Sunday. It is suitable for children aged 4-16 and includes Bible readings, singing songs and choruses, Bible stories, colouring, puzzles and worksheets, memory verses and more.

We would love to see your child joining our other children at our Sunday School.

Young People

In addition to our Sunday School, we occasionally run meetings on Friday evenings throughout the year for children and young people as well as young adults. If you would like to know more then please contact us.
